Teresa
Moore, a PR professional with more than 20 years
experience in communications and the news media, is
president of Moore Ink. She provides personal attention
to each client and leads all strategic development and
implementation.
After 10 years as a newspaper reporter covering
political affairs in Texas and Louisiana, Teresa Moore
began her work in public relations at the Texas State
Department of Education. She headed to the Pacific
Northwest to manage communications and PR for the
Washington Education Association, where she worked for
more than nine years. After serving as Vice
President/Corporate Communications for Premera Blue
Cross, she launched Moore Ink. in June 1999.
Teresa is a member of the Board of Directors of the
Northwest Development
Officers Association, serving as VP/Membership. She has a degree in political science from the
University of Texas at Dallas and has won more than two
dozen national, state and regional awards for public
relations and writing. Teresa presents frequently to
nonprofit managers and leaders on many topics related to
fundraising and communications. In her spare time, she
loves to travel and enjoys
bicycling, movies, reading and hanging out with friends
and her husband Mike and doggies Carly and Josie (see
more about them below).

Catherine
Filippini
joined Moore Ink. in 2008 and serves as Public Relations
Director. During her tenure with Moore
Ink., Catherine has managed PR campaigns for Girl Scouts
of Western Washington, the Washington Dental Service
Foundation and the YWCA. She is also our media relations
and social media expert, research specialist and website
update guru. Her
nonprofit and government experience includes work with
Washington State Tourism, the City of Kirkland, the
Washington State Housing Finance Commission, the
American Cancer Society and The Wilderness Society. She earned a degree in
government from California State University, Sacramento.
Her public affairs experience includes working for House
and Senate representatives
in the California State Capitol and with the Pala Band
of Mission Indian Tribe. When she’s not
working, Catherine enjoys traveling, spending time with
husband Jason, daughters Izabella and Sofiah, and two spunky dogs,
and enjoying the outdoor activities of the North
Cascades.
Laurel
Bennett is Senior Writer/Project Manager for Moore
Ink. Laurel’s favorite part of her job is translating an
organization’s mission, impact and dreams into stories
that compel donors and communities to act. Before
joining the Moore Ink. team at the start of 2012, Laurel
logged 23 years writing and planning communications for
Seattle Children’s, Frank Russell Company, Regence Blue
Shield, Pacific Lutheran University and Tacoma Public
Utilities, along with a variety of freelance clients.
Laurel holds a degree in communications/public relations
with a minor in nursing from Washington State
University, and is a committed Coug fan. She enjoys life
outside work with daughters Madyson and Maggie, basset
hound Gypsy and an active side career as a local
blues/classic rock singer.
Mike
Moore provides
photography services for Moore Ink. client
publications and events. After serving as a corporate
credit manager for 15 years, Mike joined the “family
business” full-time in 2003 to devote his talents and
energies to helping nonprofit organizations tell their
stories through the visual arts. He has completed
coursework through the New York Institute of Photography
and has had
his photos published in many local newspapers and
magazines. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in business
management from Augustana College and an associate of
arts degree in journalism from Blackhawk College in
Illinois. Mike is a physical fitness enthusiast, a
fantasy football devotee and loves his work almost as much as chilling
out at the marina in Cabo San Lucas.
Hazel
Wong-Godfrey is a Graphic Designer for Moore Ink.,
turning organizations' messages and images into
beautiful print pieces such as newsletters, event
programs and invitations, flyers and advertisements. A
freelance designer for the past decade, Hazel previously
worked in production and print management for Majestic
America Cruise Line and Minuteman Press. She also served
our country for three years as a cook with the U.S.
Army, stationed at Fort Hood. Hazel has a degree in
English from the Evergreen State College and lives in
the Seward Park neighborhood with her husband and son.
When a client’s needs demand additional expert
attention, Moore Ink. partners with other outstanding
professionals in graphics design, advertising, video
production, events management and communications to
ensure that our clients receive complete service and
have convenient access to a wide variety of backgrounds
and expertise. One of our favorite collaborators is David
Owen Hastings Design.
Carly
Moore, Director of Milk Bone Procurement, came to
Moore Ink. in 2001. She brings many months of experience
in finagling treats through expert sitting, staying and
fetching her favorite toys (“fish” and “rope”). Smart
and feisty, she shares an office with Teresa and Laurel.
Josie
Moore, Director of Squirrel Chasing, joined our team
in 2002. She excels at rolling over so you can rub her
tummy, giving kisses, and demanding attention when we’re
on deadline. Adorable and affectionate, she shares an
office with Mike and his recliner.
