Who We Are

Teresa Moore, a PR professional with more than 20 years experience in communications and the news media, is president of Moore Ink. She provides personal attention to each client and leads all strategic development and implementation.

After 10 years as a newspaper reporter covering political affairs in Texas and Louisiana, Teresa Moore began her work in public relations at the Texas State Department of Education. She headed to the Pacific Northwest to manage communications and PR for the Washington Education Association, where she worked for more than nine years. After serving as Vice President/Corporate Communications for Premera Blue Cross, she launched Moore Ink. in June 1999.

Teresa is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northwest Development Officers Association, serving as VP/Membership. She has a degree in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas and has won more than two dozen national, state and regional awards for public relations and writing. Teresa presents frequently to nonprofit managers and leaders on many topics related to fundraising and communications. In her spare time, she loves to travel and enjoys bicycling, movies, reading and hanging out with friends and her husband Mike and doggies Carly and Josie (see more about them below). Catherine Filippini joined Moore Ink. in 2008 and serves as Public Relations Director. During her tenure with Moore Ink., Catherine has managed PR campaigns for Girl Scouts of Western Washington, the Washington Dental Service Foundation and the YWCA. She is also our media relations and social media expert, research specialist and website update guru. Her nonprofit and government experience includes work with Washington State Tourism, the City of Kirkland, the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, the American Cancer Society and The Wilderness Society. She earned a degree in government from California State University, Sacramento. Her public affairs experience includes working for House and Senate representatives in the California State Capitol and with the Pala Band of Mission Indian Tribe. When she’s not working, Catherine enjoys traveling, spending time with husband Jason, daughters Izabella and Sofiah, and two spunky dogs, and enjoying the outdoor activities of the North Cascades.

Laurel Bennett is Senior Writer/Project Manager for Moore Ink. Laurel’s favorite part of her job is translating an organization’s mission, impact and dreams into stories that compel donors and communities to act. Before joining the Moore Ink. team at the start of 2012, Laurel logged 23 years writing and planning communications for Seattle Children’s, Frank Russell Company, Regence Blue Shield, Pacific Lutheran University and Tacoma Public Utilities, along with a variety of freelance clients. Laurel holds a degree in communications/public relations with a minor in nursing from Washington State University, and is a committed Coug fan. She enjoys life outside work with daughters Madyson and Maggie, basset hound Gypsy and an active side career as a local blues/classic rock singer.

Mike Moore provides photography services for Moore Ink. client publications and events. After serving as a corporate credit manager for 15 years, Mike joined the “family business” full-time in 2003 to devote his talents and energies to helping nonprofit organizations tell their stories through the visual arts. He has completed coursework through the New York Institute of Photography and has had his photos published in many local newspapers and magazines. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Augustana College and an associate of arts degree in journalism from Blackhawk College in Illinois. Mike is a physical fitness enthusiast, a fantasy football devotee and loves his work almost as much as chilling out at the marina in Cabo San Lucas.

Hazel Wong-Godfrey is a Graphic Designer for Moore Ink., turning organizations' messages and images into beautiful print pieces such as newsletters, event programs and invitations, flyers and advertisements. A freelance designer for the past decade, Hazel previously worked in production and print management for Majestic America Cruise Line and Minuteman Press. She also served our country for three years as a cook with the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Hood. Hazel has a degree in English from the Evergreen State College and lives in the Seward Park neighborhood with her husband and son.

When a client’s needs demand additional expert attention, Moore Ink. partners with other outstanding professionals in graphics design, advertising, video production, events management and communications to ensure that our clients receive complete service and have convenient access to a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise. One of our favorite collaborators is David Owen Hastings Design.

Carly Moore, Director of Milk Bone Procurement, came to Moore Ink. in 2001. She brings many months of experience in finagling treats through expert sitting, staying and fetching her favorite toys (“fish” and “rope”). Smart and feisty, she shares an office with Teresa and Laurel.

Josie Moore, Director of Squirrel Chasing, joined our team in 2002. She excels at rolling over so you can rub her tummy, giving kisses, and demanding attention when we’re on deadline. Adorable and affectionate, she shares an office with Mike and his recliner.
